Smart lock access for self storage

Smart Storage works with TTLock smart locks on the Growth plan. From the web dashboard an admin sees each lock’s battery and connection status, and can lock, unlock and issue passcodes for tenants. Live lock commands are rolling out and are not available for every operator yet.

Connect your TTLock account

Connect your TTLock account in Settings. Once it is connected, your locks appear in Smart Storage with their names, sites and battery levels, and you manage them from the web dashboard.

What you can do

  • See your locks. Each lock shows its name, site, battery level and whether it is online, offline or low on battery. Gateways are listed too.
  • Lock, unlock and issue passcodes from the web dashboard. An admin confirms a command before Smart Storage sends it to TTLock’s cloud, and the screen tells you TTLock accepted it.
  • Create a passcode. An admin creates a code for a lock and the screen shows it once, so staff can pass it to the tenant.

You stay in control of access

Only admin users can send lock and unlock commands or create passcodes. Front desk staff can view the lock list but cannot open a door from it. Every command asks for confirmation before it is sent.

  • The operator app lists your locks with battery and status. Lock and unlock are on the web dashboard.
  • Tenants cannot open a door from the tenant portal.

Which plan includes smart locks

Smart locks are part of the Growth plan, at US$99 a month or US$990 a year, for up to five facilities. The first month is free.

Doors without smart locks

Each facility records its entry door type as TTLock or code. A site that uses physical keys still runs bookings, billing and the rest of Smart Storage normally.

FAQ

Which smart locks does Smart Storage support?
Smart Storage supports TTLock smart locks on the Growth plan. An admin can list locks with their battery and connection status and create passcodes from the web dashboard; live lock commands are rolling out. No other lock brand is integrated today. If you use a different brand, tell us which one before you sign up.
Can tenants open doors themselves?
No. Smart Storage does not give tenants self-service door access. The operator creates a passcode for a lock and passes it to the tenant, and the hours that code works are set by the operator in TTLock. Tenants cannot open doors from the tenant portal or any app we make.
Does Smart Storage keep a record of door openings?
Not yet. Smart Storage does not record which tenant opened which door, so there is no entry history inside the product. Your TTLock app keeps its own records. Smart Storage shows each lock’s battery, its online status and whether TTLock accepted your last command.
How do I cancel a tenant’s passcode?
Cancel it in the TTLock app. Smart Storage can create a passcode for a lock, but it does not manage the codes already on a lock. Use the TTLock app to remove a code when a tenant moves out.
Can my staff unlock doors from the operator app?
No. The operator app on iOS and Android shows every lock with its site, battery and online status, but it has no lock or unlock button for any role. Remote lock and unlock are on the web dashboard, are rolling out, and only admin users can use them.
